What is a Gold Party?
A Gold Party is a social event where people come to sell their old, broken or unwanted gold and have fun doing so at the same time. Unlike other party events where guests are expected to spend money, your guests leave with lots of £££ in their pockets.

How much work is involved in hosting a Gold Party 4 Pounds?
Gold Party 4 Pounds provides you with the invitations in a soft copy and you just need to fill in the details of your party and send them out to your friends via e-mail. The host/hostess has 100% discretion on the choice of food and/or drink as well as any theme you might want to have for the party. If the party is big enough, Gold Party 4 Pounds will even contribute £50 towards entertainment costs.
How many people do I need to have a successful party?
The best results typically come from parties between 10 and 20 people in size. Success is measured by the amount of gold that we purchase during a party not how many guests it has. If your friends have a lot of gold to sell, then your commission will be much larger. Also, keep in mind the 3% commission you can earn off the residual parties and any party referrals you can make. Your level of income increases the more people booking gold parties after they attended yours and any additional referrals you make.
How long does the average gold party last?
Each guest typically takes between 10 and 20 minutes to sort through their gold, test, weigh and be paid so the average party lasts between 2 and 3 hours. If you and your guests are having a great time, you can continue the party for as long as you want. Once we have met with each of your guests and completed our purchases, your Gold Party 4 Pounds representative will simply close up their equipment, settle with you, your Gold Party commission and leave. You can then carry on with your friends having fun and decide what you are going to do with your additional money.
What if someone cannot attend my Gold Party 4 Pounds?
If your party is scheduled for a date that is inconvenient for a guest, we will be more than happy to arrange a private meeting with that individual. We will go through the same process that they would have gone through at your party and you will still receive your 10% commission. In some cases, we are able to allow your guests to give you (the host), their scrap gold and we will settle with you and you can then settle up with your friend. To do this we would require you to have a note written by your friend and some form of ID for your friend and it would help if when we are ready to make an offer on your friends goods, they can be contacted with our offer. That way, they are still in control of their gold.
Private appointments?
If you have gold that you or your friends wish to sell but are unable to host a party at your home you can contact us to make a private appointment to have your gold purchased at our offices in Ascot or in some cases we can make home visits. Are there any incentives for me to encourage my guests or friends to book their own Gold Party 4 Pounds?
Absolutely!!! Any party booked by a guest of your party will make money for you. Gold Party 4 Pounds will pay you 3% commission on any party hosted by a guest at your party or referred to us directly by you.
What assurance do I have that I will get all my commissions I am entitled to?
Every Gold Party 4 Pounds Host/Hostess or someone registered with us for frequent Gold Party 4 Pounds hostess referrals, a we issue a Contract of Services to legally protect both parties. This way, you are assured that your hard work is legally protected and we will honour any commissions as result of your Gold Party 4 Pounds referrals.
How much do you pay for my gold?
There are many factors that affect the amount you receive for your gold, particularly, the most current “spot price” (London Fix Price), physical weight and karat of your gold. Prior to your gold party, we will be happy to provide you with an average price per gram based on the market during the previous few weeks. This will generally be a good indicator of the prices to be paid at your party, but the specific prices will not be known until the day of the party, due to daily changes in the market for gold.
Do you accept jewellery with stones?
We do accept pieces with stones but we only buy gold and platinum, and will have to deduct the weight for a stone. Our Gold Party 4 Pounds representatives can sometimes remove the stones in your presence (subject to the owner signing a “release of liability” form), but we cannot guarantee against damage so if you desire a stone for a specific reason, we recommend you have it removed by a professional jeweller before selling your gold to us.
I am not sure if some of my jewellery is real gold. What do I do?
Bring it along, we test and weight everything in front of you and we will identify its true value. That is the reason why we are there! Some real gold may have colour variations that will surprise you (e.g. pink, green), but on the other hand, some gold plated jewellery is done so well, that you might think it is real gold when in fact it turns out not to be. Either way, our Gold Party 4 Pounds expert will determine the value of your gold.
If I want to sell gold, can I post it to Gold Party 4 Pounds?
For your protection, Gold Party 4 Pounds does not recommend sending gold by post. If you want to sell gold we will be happy to advise you and can arrange a private appointment. Contact us on 07510 300 232 or e-mail us.
What happens to my gold after you buy it?
Gold Party 4 Gold has a standard policy to hold your gold for seven days. After the seven days, your gold will be melted down at the refiners, all precious metals extracted and separated and refined into pure gold ready to create new jewellery.
What is Karat?
Karat (abbreviated Kt) is the standard measure of the quantity of gold in a piece of jewellery, or its fineness. 24 karat gold is pure gold and 18 karat gold contains approximately 75% gold mixed with other alloy metals (typically silver, copper, nickel, zinc, tin and manganese, depending on the colour). In the UK, the standard is 9 karat which means it contains approximately 37.5% of gold.
What is “Spot Price”?
Spot price is the most current price of gold being sold in the commodities markets. In the UK, the spot price is fixed twice (London Fix Price) on a daily basis, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. How will I be paid?
Gold Party 4 Pounds has a standard policy of offering our customers their choice of payment: Cash, Cheque, or Online Bank Transfer (needs WiFi) using the Faster Payment service whereby the monies will be immediately credited to your account at no cost to you. This way you can enjoy your party knowingly that your money is already secured in your bank account. Do I need to provide any identification to sell my gold?
To prevent the sale and purchase of stolen goods, you and your guests will be required to show some formal identification such as Driving licence, Utility bill, Passport or debit/credit card.
Can I only host a gold party in my home?
Absolutely not! Successful gold parties can take place hairdressing salons, health clubs, golf clubs, pubs and clubs… Hosting a Gold Party 4 Pounds is a great way to get your customers coming back for repeat business and in these uncertain economic times, everyone wins!
Does Gold Party 4 Pounds support charity organisations?
Gold Party 4 Pounds actively supports charities and promotes good causes. We can help you organise a charity Gold Party 4 Pounds Event for your charity or to promote good causes. As the host, the charity/good cause will receive 15% of the pay out of the event, and in addition the charity/good cause will receive 5% commission from parties booked at the charity Gold Party 4 Pounds Event.
What type of party should I organise?

You claim to operate Ethical and Fair to your customers, how can I trust what you say?
Before we set-up our company, we undertook detailed research on current Scrap Gold buyers practices and as result of the research we felt there was much improvement to be made and not all customers were getting a fair deal for their gold. We only use Trade Approved equipment, our prices are above average and we only deal in person. We also give the customer seven days cooling off period in case they change their minds.
